Sarah B. Arts Says : |
The tutors and academics are so passionate about what they teach and are really helpful. The academic advisors too are a great help esp. if you get confused with how you are to structure the subjects you do, which would help you if you are considering Honours and Postgrad work. The library has been extremely helpful and Macquarie have programs and handouts that explain how to effectively use the library to gain as much as you from it.
Macquarie also has its own Museum on campus which, if your into Ancient history and artefacts, is really interesting. Plus if you do Egyptian Archaeology the museum really helps you to visualise and remember different styles of pottery from different Dynasties - this is a great help. Plus, the coffee's and brownies in the cafeteria are great!

Michael B. International Studies Says : |
The University seems to have a distinct casual yet studious atmosphere. The social life is great and the International scholarships and opportunities are in my opinion better than any other University in Sydney. The Macquarie Global Leadership program is a great way to meet new people, learn about the world and other cultures and meet guest speakers and it is free also.

Sally B. Health Says : |
Macquarie was a beautiful uni with a great campus full of green space. The facilities were as state of the art as all other unis, but it just had a lot more social aspects to it than others and was so quiet and peaceful.

Anita B. Education (Early Childhood) Says : |
I will have to mention the study exchange that the university offers. And this ties in with the Global Leadership Program. This program is unique to Macquarie University as it gives students opportunities to do extra curricula activities and partake experiences outside of their academic studies. Such as travelling to the US for a conference that addresses current political international issues, volunteering at a developing country. It focuses on cultural exchanges and identity and what it means to be a global citizen.

Lisa Masters of Ancient History Says : |
At Macquarie University, the students are the main focus. You may think to yourself that this is not uncommon considering their main business is from students, but you may also be surprised. Unfortunately, we live in a world of hidden agendas and politics; however, I truly feel that Macquarie University cares about their students and wants to give them the best academic experience possible.

Macquarie University is so randomly situated in Sydney that it has many qualities uniquely MQU! The best thing though are the wonderful grassy areas for sleeping on - luckily the students are friendly too and someone will always wake you up just before the hour so you don't miss class!!
