Robyn B. Creative Industries Says : |
The campus is small and cosy and it's very pleasent to be there. The lecturers are currently still working in the field so know what it's like in the industry right now. We also get jobs though them which prepares us.

Ally B. Criminology & Justice Says : |
The lecturers at Edith Cowan University are all very knowledgable, helpful and treat you with respect and kindness. They realise that students are people who have other aspects in their lives such as work and family commitments and are compassionate and considerate at times when these other aspects mean you are not capable of putting in a hundred percent into your uni work. This relieves stress and makes studying even more enjoyable.

Tiffany B. Journalism/WAAPA Broadcasting Says : |
The good teachers and the facilities. There are some fantastic teachers at ECU and a few became my mentors. It's amazing the difference a teacher, who's passionate about what they do, can have on your learning capabilities and understandings.

Zach B. Arts (History) Says : |
The best thing about ECU was the diversity of the culture. It was a very multicultural university, and there were many exchange students there. It was easy for me, also an exchange student, to get to know others, because many of them were in the same position I was in. The native residents of the school were also very friendly toward me.

Tatyana B. Environmental Forensics Says : |
Friendly, easygoing staff that actually talk to you and want to help. The university has a reputation for being a 'supertafe' as a lower TERscore is required for entry, but the quality of teaching is exactly the same, and we do in fact have much smaller class sizes than the other universities in Perth. This means we get more one-on-one teaching with our lecturers and demonstrators.

Katherine B. of Education (K-7) Says : |
Practical Experiences. Within the first year of my teaching bachelor, we were involved in teaching in classrooms. this really helped when deciding if it was the right career path for you. Alot of people dropeed out within the first year, which left the people who really want to be there.

Simon B. of Nursing Says : |
It has a nice and friendly environment. The lecturers and tutors are friendly people with the experience of the real world so they are able to give you really helpful advice and share experiences with their students. Even the staff that help you enroll and prepare for pracs are really helpful. Especially as the years progress

Amanda B. Tourism Management Says : |
The course I am studying contains about an equal amount of theory and case studies, or real-life examples. I think this is so important because (most) people are going to be going out into the industry when they finish their degrees, and really knowing how to deal with things you might come across in the workplace is worth just as much, if not more, than theory in the end.

Anthony B. Information Technology Says : |
In all honesty, there is nothing that stands out in particular as the best thing at ECU. There are numerous aspects of the uni which are up to scratch, e.g. facilities, online access and student support, but personally, I am yet to experience anything outstanding above everything else. I'd also like to clarify that I am not trying to imply that "everything" is the best thing about ECU, I am trying to say that nothing at ECU is that amazing, to me anyway.
