Very laid back, lecturers are very flexible, and every one in your classes is very supportive, helpful and relaxed. Class sizes are also pretty small so there is a lot of time for discussion.
Generally speaking, it was quite small which meant a low teacher/student ratio, thus giving me (as a student) much access to personal help and also making it possible for work to easily be tailored to suit my specific goals.
It has a genuine focus on Aboriginal Australian's and life in the NT. I think it's idea of having compulsory units for the entire university is a good one (there is one on the NT and other two on study skills). Also it has a really comprehensive Distance Ed program, which is my preferred learning method.
